Presented by the Florida Keys Concert Association, Marathon welcomes the String Orchestra of New York City for a March 19th performance. A conductor-less chamber orchestra now in its 12th season, the SONYC has established itself as one of the leading young ensembles in NYC. Through a collaborative rehearsal process, each member of the orchestra is invited to impart his or her own artistic flair to the performance, creating a modern, vibrant take on the age-old string quartet template.
Tickets are $30, purchased at the door. Seasonal tickets available for $85 general admission and $150 preferred seating; visit www.floridakeysconcerts.com for details. Performance takes place at the San Pablo Catholic Church of Marathon, 550 122nd St. oceanside, off U.S. Highway 1 at mile marker 53.5. Doors open 7 p.m., showtime 7:30 p.m.
